Bangalore: With Tata Docomo already introducing 3G services in the country and other telcos like Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance also following the suit, cellphone users today are very excited as the broadband-like internet experience on mobile phones is no longer an impossible concept. There are people who have already own a 3G enabled handset and are experiencing the service or are waiting for their service providers to start the service, while many of them still to pick the 3G phone of their choice. Indian mobile phone market is brimming with new 3G capable phones. So which one to go for? Sony Ericcson Zylo
The Zylo is the new Sony Ericsson's Walkman phone. It boasts of 3G and High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA), a 3.2 megapixel camera with VGA video recording, plus a TFT display with a 240x320 pixel resolution. It also comes with a number of Java based applications allowing users to access popular services like Facebook and Twitter. Users can also share their photos to Flickr and Picasa, or upload videos to YouTube directly from the phone. The phone has up to 16GB of storage via a MicroSD card. Sony Ericsson Zylo costs 7,590.

LG Cookie Plus GS500V
With interactive touch screen interface, LG Cookie Plus GS500V comes with 3 megapixel camera, music player, FM Radio, audio and video player and a voice recorder. It has a touch screen with 240?400 pixel at 262K colors. For connectivity purposes, it supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G and WAP services. It also has Bluetooth and USB support to facilitate fast data transfer requirements. With support to 3G, users can also enjoy high speed internet browsing with inbuilt browser. It also provides many other social network shortcuts like facebook, picasa, orkut, tweeter etc. It lacks GPS device. It has an internal memory of 30MB and is expandable up to 8GB. LG Cookie Plus GS500V is available at around 7,599.

HTC Smart F3188
Runs on Brew OS, HTC Smart F3188 has a 2.8-inch QVGA display, 3.15 megapixel camera with fixed focus, 300MHz processor, 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM memory. HTC Smart that comes with HTC sense integration for better navigation experience has Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It supports 3G network and allows users to browse Internet using HSPA/GPRS/EDGE. It also includes built in apps for Facebook etc. HTC Smart F3188 costs around 7,799.

Nokia E63
Announced as the mass market messaging device at affordable price, Nokia E63 is a combination of performance and features. Alongside a full QWERTY keyboard, Nokia E63 also has features like 2.36-inch TFT display screen with 16 million colors and 320x240 pixel, Bluetooth 2.0, mini USB 2.0, a 3.5mm headset jack, Music player, FM radio with RDS and a 2 megapixel camera. For connectivity purposes, it supports Quad band GSM connectivity, 3G (384kbps) amd Wi-Fi. The only thing a user loses is integrated GPS. With Nokia E63, a user can have immediate access to work tools, such as e-mail, the Web, and the file manager. Meanwhile, switching to Personal mode it gives users instant access to multimedia library, the Web, and messages. Nokia E63 is available at 8,745.

Samsung Galaxy 5
Powered by Android, Samsung Galaxy 5 has rich connectivity features and really good integration with Google's mobile services as well as access to third-party applications through the Android Market. It has a 2.8-inch capacitive touch screen locked at a resolution of 240x320 and 256K color output, a 3.5mm audio jack, MP3 player and an in-built FM tuner. It has 150MB of internal memory and its external memory is expandable up to 32GB using MicroSD slots. Samsung Galaxy 5 comes with a 2 megapixel camera and it supports 3G/HSDPA (7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, and A-GPS. It is available at Rs.8,790.
