Mumbai: Auction of players for IPL3 2010 has been concluded with major jolts to Twenty20 World Champion Pakistani players.
Bidders snubbed Pakistani players like Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanveer, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Imran Nazir and Umar Akmal during the auction. As many as 11 Pakistani players were up for IPL auction 2010.
It seems that franchise owners have considered possible wrath from political outfit like Shiv Sena and MNS, who have threatened to disrupt the mega event if Pakistan players come to play.
West Indies batsman Kieron Pollard and New Zealand pacer Shane Bond were the highest paid players this year. Bothe sold out for USD750, 000.
The list of auctioned players at IPL 2010 is as following:
Kieron Pollard was sold out by Mumbai Indians for USD 750,000. The base price for him was USD 200,000.
South African Wayne Parnell was bought by Delhi Daredevils for USD 610,000. The base price for him was USD 200,000.
Shahrukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bagged Shane Bond for record sum of USD 750,000 . The Base price for him was USD100,000.
Another Caribbean cricketer Kemar Roach was bought by Deccan Chargers for USd 720,000. The base price was USD 100,00.
Only English cricketer Eoin Morgan (England) was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for USD 220,000. His base price was USD 200,00.
Mohammed Kaif sold in second round by Punjab Kings XI for USD250,000
Damien Martin was brought by Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra owned Rajasthan Royals for just USD100,000.
Justin Kemp sold to Chennai Super Kings for USD 100,000Rs (Rs 45.5 lakh).
Adam Voges was bought by Rajasthan Royals for USD 50,000(Rs 22.7 lakh).
South African Yousuf Abdullah was sold to Punjab Kings XI for USD20,000 (Rs 22.7 lakh).
Three under 19 cricket players have also been sold out in this auction.
Thissara Perera of Sri Lanka was bought by Chennai Super Kings at the base price of USD 50,000
Under-19 captain Ashok Menaria was sold to Vijay Mallya's RCB.
Under-19 player Harmeet Singh was brought by Deccan chargers
Under-19 Harshad Patel was sold to Mumbai Indians.
