Service can be availed by paying a registration charge of Rs. 200 and Rs. 2000 for the Set Top box

MTNL (Delhi) has commercially launched its IPTV service, which includes video on demand services, for its broadband subscribers via Smart Broadband service in Delhi.

MTNL first launched its IPTV services in Mumbai in 2006.

The service will require subscribers to pay a one time registration charge of Rs. 200 and an upfront payment of Rs. 2000 for the Set Top box. This includes free installation up to 20 meter of length and beyond 20 meter the customer will be charged extra on actual cost basis.

Set Top Box:

There's a provision to return the set top box to Smart Broadband service (they'll buy it back) within 30 days of purchase, be it for any reason.

In case a subscriber wants to avail the buy-back facility post 30 days (and within one year of activation) of purchase, two-third value of the set top box will be returned to the subscriber. If the facility is availed after one year of purchase, then one-third value of the set top box will be returned to the customer. Beyond two years, no refund will be offered.

The set top box comes with a one-year comprehensive on-site warranty from the date of activation. Post warranty period, charges for an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) is Rs.600.

Costs for the set top box and the AMC are charged directly by Smart Broadband.
