KCR to launch Telangana TV
SANGAREDDY: To create an awareness among Telangana people on the injustice being meted out to the people here in every field, Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to launch a separate channel, Telangana TV on January 28.

“We have tried to do it with the help of existing TV channels but they didn’t cooperate it,’’ he said. He attended a meeting of cable operators and Gowda Association separately at Narsapur in the district today.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, he said that all the Telangana MLAs and MPs must quit their posts if the Centre didn’t initiate the process of forming separate Telangana State by January 28. “They must quit for the sake of Telangana State. They wouldn’t lose their lives if they resigned to their posts as people any how would elect them later,’’ he said.

He warned that people would teach a lesson to those who do not quit their posts. The TRS leader pointed out that he had resigned to his MP post thrice for Telangana.

“Already 10 MLAs, two MPs and one MLC from our party have resigned to their posts. We will get their resignations approved on January 28 by pressuring speaker,’’ the TRS chief said.

He made it clear that the ongoing struggle would not be stopped at any circumstances.

Stating that the movement has reached people of every section, he said after Telangana formation they would concentrate on its reconstruction.

He exuded confidence that if separate State was formed, Telangana would emerge front runner in all the fields as it is endowed with rich natural resources.

“As the region has rich granite reserves, it would benefit cement industries,’’ he observed. Separate State is the only for preventing farmers’ suicides, viral fever deaths in Adilabad, flourosis and migration of labour in Mahaboobnagar district.

“By issuing a GO the government at one go banned sale of toddy in Hyderabad thereby encouraging cheap liquor.

Hundreds of families lost their lives due to the GO,’’ he said.

Medak MP Vijayasanthi was also present at the meet. He also expressed his solidarity with fasting leaders at Jinnaram and Gummadidala villages by visiting their relay hunger strike camps.
