China-based electronic equipment manufacturer MenQ, has released the EasyPC E790 laptop that could be the world's cheapest at as little $80.
The laptop has a 7-inch, 800x480-pixel screen, 128MB of RAM, 2GB ROM, an RJ45 Ethernet port and b/g Wi-Fi .
It lacks a hard drive but has three USB ports and an SD card slot that supports upto 32 GB of flash storage. It comes with WiFi, Ethernet LAN and supports Skype.
It comes installed with Windows CE 5.0 and has a 400MHz Samsung ARM9 processor. An Android version is also rumored to be in the works.
Menq reportedly maintains that the E790 works "without virus break-in".
