MUMBAI: Radio Today Broadcasting COO Anil Srivatsa has quit, ending his three-year tenure during which he established Meow 104.8 FM as a talk show, women-centric radio station.
Radio Today Broadcasting director Anil Mehra confirmed Srivatsa's exit, but declined to comment on who would succeed Srivatsa to helm Meow FM. Meow FM has a presence in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.
Citing personal reasons behind the resignation, Srivatsa states, "I have had a recent emergency in my family and have decided to move on and spend some time with them in Bangalore. However, I will continue to explore similar assignments within the entertainment and media space."
Srivatsa hosted the largest syndicated South Asian radio show in the US 'Anil Ki Awaaz', which earned him a place in the Limca Book of Records, before he moved to India three years ago. He held the position of executive vice-president of ImaginAsian Entertainment, a US-based entertainment company before taking over as Radio Today COO.
