So for all those people who don't want to step out this weekend and relax at home instead, there's plenty of good football action coming your way.

It all starts of on Saturday with the big spenders and title contenders, Manchester City making a trip to North London to play Tottenham. Both the teams will be buoyant and want to send out their intent straight away with a good opening day win. Catch the game from White Heart Lane live on ESPN for 17:10 hours onwards. Last year's champions - Chelsea start their title defence with a relatively easy fixture against newly promoted West Bromwich Albion at 21:55 hours.

On Sunday, it's the big one. 18 time league winners, Liverpool will look to put a miserable season behind them and start off the Roy Hodgson era with a win when they play title contenders Arsenal at Anfield. Catch this high intensity fast paced game from 20:30 hours.

All these games are live on ESPN.

Other games from the opening weekend include:

Aston Villa vs West Ham United from 19:30 hours live on ESPN on Saturday

Blackburn Rovers vs. Everton from 19:30 hours live on STAR Sports on Saturday
