Cable TV provider DEN Networks has launched a customized electronic program guide (EPG) for the Indian cable TV market. The new EPG is based on NDS MediaHighway middleware. The new user interface enables subscribers to easily navigate and access DEN's digital pay-TV services.
NDS is a provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV.
The new EPG on Digitelly (Den's digital cable TV brand) includes sophisticated navigation tools and frequent data changes which support the promotion of new services. Content options can be shown on a preview screen, which enables the viewer to scroll through all channels before making a selection. Subscribers also can choose to display the program schedule by time of day or by date.
In March 2008, it was announced that DEN had selected a suite of NDS technologies to protect and power its digital cable platform, which included NDS' VideoGuard conditional access, NDS MediaHighway, and the NDS EPG.
