Nokia’s head of corporate strategy Heikki Norta, when recently talking about what life would be like in 2015, outlined that smart ecosystems will be at the centre of mobile life five years from now. The company has showcased a short video that is designed to showcase how a combination of devices and services worked together to de-clutter life in the near feature. The idea stemmed from the concept that technology, through connectivity and interactivity, is designed to manage users' lives and provide for a better existence by making the sharing of data a whole lot simpler.
Heikki believes the processing power we’ll see in devices in the coming years will be way ahead of what we have now, but that’s of course a given. This will enable devices to process a lot more data and, together with a substantial increase in bandwidth, help them work seamlessly together. This will enable users to live a “more spontaneous life”, helping to get the very best of opportunities easily where the device and the service are doing all the heavy lifting.
The serious integration of devices and services together seems to be the trend that would help manufacturers and developers find that perfect blend to make lives less complicated. The video below may have a slightly sci-fi-ish feel to it with regards to the devices showcased. It does however give us an idea of where things are heading, take a look.
