<img style="float:left; margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px ;" src="http://indian-tech-news.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Nokia-Listings-India.jpg"/>Nokia today introduced Nokia Listings service in India, still this service is in beta stage.Nokia Listings has been developed for the purpose of making this process of connecting buyers and sellers (or employers and job seekers) as simple as possible. For many services such as apartment rentals, selling vehicle etc. for those services users have to pay some commission to middle man (commission agent) and to overcome from this,Nokia introduced Nokia Listings. Nokia ’s goal is to bring the benefits of a digital marketplace to users of basic mobile phones (Series 40) without GPRS connections. The application therefore is fully functional on both SMS and GPRS.
Nokia Listings has three major categories of listings, Buy & Sell – Find or post items for sale, Jobs – Find or post a job and Local Services – Access or advertise services such as auto repairs, driver services, plumbers, etc. for use of this service, no registration needed. Listings are geo-coded so that the user is able to find the services nearest to his/her place, and users have the ability to call or SMS the other party through the application and forward listings via SMS to their friends.
Features of Nokia Listings beta.
* Jobs: As an employer, you can post jobs and review candidates who have applied for the job. As a job seeker you can search for jobs by category, location and salary, and apply.
* Buy and Sell: You can search and post items (mobile phones, bikes, etc) that you are looking to buy or sell. You can contact seller or buyer by calling or by sending an SMS.
* Local Services: You can search for service providers like plumbers, architects, lawyers, etc in your locality. As a local service provider, you can list on the marketplace and be found by potential customers.
There are no fees for using the service except SMS and data charges from your operator.
