Mumbai: The screws are being turned on Pakistan as a host for international cricket.
Australia, which is due to play Pakistan in a Test series next year, is looking at England as a possible neutral venue. A decision is expected later this week.
Australia has not sent a team to Pakistan since 1998.
Meanwhile, UAE will be the venue for the Pakistan-Australia six-match series consisting of five ODIs and one Twenty20 game. Ten Sports, which has the rights to Pakistan cricket, will air the matches.
"All six games will happen in the UAE. Three will take place at Dubai Sports City, while three will happen in Abu Dhabi. The tour after that is due to be New Zealand playing
against Pakistan in November/December. It would seem likely that the tour will happen in a neutral venue such as the UAE," says Taj Television senior VP Peter Hutton.
In terms of ad revenue he says that there is minimal change. "We have so much cricket on the channel on the moment from West Indies and South Africa. So advertisers can be given spots there."
