Samsung launches India’s first 8MP Pixon M8800 touch phone. Strengthening its touchscreen portfolio, Samsung has launched India’s first 8 megapixel touchscreen phone, Pixon M8800.
Samsung are not wasting a minute as they stride towards the end of 2008, and their latest additions to the product range are a sure fire sign regarding their intentions.
Last year they kicked off the year with Samsung Tocco mania, then we were all excited about the Samsung Innov8, now seemingly out of nowhere they announce an absolute giant slayer in the form of the Samsung Pixon M8800.
The Samsung Pixon M8800 is a true epiphany of 8 mega pixel camera bliss, and can only signal a very short swift life span for their own Samsung Innov8. Okay, the Samsung Innov8 is the first 8 mega pixel camera to hit the streets of the UK, but you can't help but notice the shear bulk and weight it carries.
I bet none of you can name the first England football manager, but I doubt any of you have never heard of Sir Alf Ramsey. Hopefully you can see where I'm going with this, if not, what I'm trying to say is that although the Samsung Innov8 was first, the Samsung Pixon M8800 will be the one the record books acknowledge.
The 8 megapixel camera offers maximum image resolution of 3264×2448 with auto-focus, face-recognition, Wide Dynamic Range, Advance Shake Reduction, GPS geo-tagging support and WSVGA and VGA video recording at 30fps.
The 3.2-inch WQVGA large full touchscreen supports Samsung TouchWiz user interface for intuitive tap, sweep, drag and drop operations as well as live Home Screen Widgets like weather info, Google Search etc. The 3G capable Pixon comes with an onscreen QWERTY keyboard and onscreen handwriting recognition for emailing, messaging and other inputs.
