Sony and Balaji's Bayttaab finally gets its main leads...
After all the grueling auditions, Balaji Telefilms and Sony have got their female lead for Bayttaab, in new face Priyamvada Kant. Also, Shiv Subramaniam has been roped in as the male lead..

Finally, after days of grueling auditions, Sony Entertainment Television and Balaji Telefilms have got their main lead for their upcoming show, Bayttaab in yet another new face, Priyamvada Kant.

We had reported earlier that new face Anupriya Kapoor, from the Kishore Namit Kapoor School of acting had been finalized to play Kanchan, the eldest of the three sisters in the show. However, the girl had an insecure feeling when it came to the other new face in Sumana Das, and this forced the production house to sack her and get a replacement pretty quickly.

It was then that Balaji Telefilms approached Kritika Kamra of Kitani Mohabbat Hai fame for the same role. However, as we had reported earlier, the channel was not satisfied with the choice, and had asked the production house to look for a fresher face.

Our reliable source today gives us an update that the channel and production house have finally got their Kanchan, and new face Priyamvada Kant will be playing the role. "Priyamvada is a fresh face, and will be facing the camera for the first time. We are finally relieved, and we are moving to Wahi today to kick-start the shoot", informs our source.

We called up Priyamvada, who said, "Nothing has been decided yet. I will have to talk to you later".

We had earlier given an exclusive report on noted actor and writer Shiv Subramaniam being approached to play the role of the middle aged rich man, who will go on to marry the eldest of the girls.

As per the latest, "Shiv Subramaniam who played the role of Lobo in the recent successful film Kaminey has agreed to play the role. He had initially refused to be part of the show because of his prior commitments. However, the production house has finally managed to get the talented actor on board".

Shiv Subramaniam has been the writer of films like Parinda and Teen Patti, and has starred in films like 1942 A Love Story, Risk, Droh Kaal, Ek Din 24 Ghante and many others, in addition to Kaminey.

When contacted, Shiv told us, "Yes, I am doing Bayttaab for Balaji. I will be able to talk to you later, as I am at the doctors' now".

As reported earlier, Sumana Das and Pragati Chourasiya play the other two sisters, and Vishal Nayak plays their rakhi brother. Urvashi Dholakia will be making a comeback with this show..

Bayttaab is tipped to launch on October 5th on Sony, and will take the 10 PM slot. The opening episode will be for an hour.

Finally, all is well and it is time for some 'Action' at Wahi…
