Substandard Box by Indigital Mumbai

Recently I had purchase in digital Set top box (Model Novabase DTC 2010A). while using, I noticed that when the box get hotter, it start to give humming sound. also picture quality is not that clear what I expected. When I talk to cable guy, he say's that this box is giving problem where there is LCD/ LED TV. It is working fine inn CRT TV. I am in talk to them to get either replacement or better quality box.
Hope they will do it at the earliest

As far as I know, InDigital Cable has Clear (non-encrypted) DVB-C signals...which means they are not tied to their own InCablenet LCO supplied box.

If there is issue with the LCO supplied box then there are good stbs like Humax DVB-C FTA etc available. Only thing is Transponder Frequency, QAM Type, Symbol Rate has to be entered first time.

Actually many people with In Cablenet have approached me for solution. Some were ready to shell out extra for new own stb. Others were not willing to spend more.

Only InDigital and DigiCable boxes are non-encryption, card-less type.

In Hathway's case, Humax, Cisco, Skyworth DVB-C boxes (with View Card) have NDS-Videoguard encryption. So other DVB-C boxes do not work on Hathway line.

One forum friend was looking for buying a new LED TV. He wanted to take my opinion before buying.

On knowing InCablenet as his digital cable provider, I told him Samsung EH, ES series LED TVs have DVB-C, DVB-T/T2 Tuner. That meant a Set-top box is not needed even after Digitalization. Just connect Cable wire to TV and enjoy with clutter-free setup.

He just did that and did not have to buy STB from Cable operator.

Oh Thats Great... I Have All Kinds Of Cable FTA Boxes.. Except Humax.. Will Try To get One..

Humax equipment (dishes, lnbs, stbs) is commonly found in Middle East, Gulf countries markets.

In India, Humax office at Powai in Mumbai, deals with STB sales operations only.

Hmmm Yes Seen Humax Box From Middle East... Here In Bangalore They Are Demanding Rs 4k For HD Box Without Any Free View... Hathway Is 6k For 1 Year In Adjacent Area...
