Television Sun TV Network expects to announce 2-3 content broadcasting deals in the current fiscal year, a top official said on Friday.
"We run 20 channels so our appetitie for content acquisition is very very high... some of these are with big overseas players and there should at least be 2 or 3 more this year," Ajay Vidyasagar, chief operating officer, told Reuters in an interview.
The broadcaster in June signed a deal with animation and gaming firm DQ Entertainment to provide animated content.
It plans to launch a kids entertainment channel in Malayalam in the next 12-18 months, he said.
