Times Now announces a slew of special shows

Times Now 'Newshour' has the revered Amitabh Bacchhan on the show on the occasion of the music launch of the multi-starrer “Rann” his latest movie alongwith the talented Ram Gopal Verma and Riteish Deshmukh.

The other specials include “2009 in 60 minutes” a show that will do a quick recap of all the big stories and news makers of 2009. “People in the News” will focus on some of the most unlikely newsmakers of the year 2009. Real life stories that have made the nation stand up and take notice for e.g. The lawyer who fought the Kasav case to the wife of the Indian Captain of a ship hijacked by Somalian pirates.

At the Yearend Debate, Arnab Goswami takes a look at all the political upheavals that have impacted the country. A one hour special, The Yearend Debate would have Arnab discussing the election strategies of parties, what worked for some and didn’t for others. The movers and shakers of the political arena such as Arun Jaitley, Kamal Nath, Sitaram Yechury would be a part of this debate.

At The Newshour 2010 Special Arnab Goswami, takes a look at the year ahead. This show will predict the 5 biggest newsmakers to be watched out for in the fields of cinema, sport, politics, youth and social life.

Kunal Vijaykar, anchor of India’s most loved food show The Foodie, does the unexpected, Kunal would be letting the cameras into his kitchen and would be cooking for his audience. Will he disappoint or delight with his culinary skills, watch the episode to find out.

Well known sports anchor Anand Narsimhan jogs through the most exciting Sporting Moments of 2009. From the ‘Bolt’ of running sensation to the Tiger Woods scandal, a must watch show for sports enthusiasts. 2009 saw some hectic cricket activity as well and has been a good year for Indian cricket. TIMES NOW takes a look at the defining moments of the game in the year that has gone by. Anand Narsimhan would be interviewing cricketing greats such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and many more.
