Films from the UTV World Movies stable will now be available even when someone is taking a flight. The channel has collaborated with Kingfisher Airlines to showcase nine films in the next three months starting October this year.

The nine films that would be shown are Ariel, Match Factory Girl, The Man without a Past, Drifting Clouds, The Wyvern Mystery, Twin Sisters, The River Chao Phraya, Lights in the Dusk and The Last Butterfly.

In addition to this, UTV World Movies in association with Kingfisher Airlines has also set up a Fly For Flicks Contest contest for Indian nationals. The contest that begins on 1 October will end on 31 October.

Participants, taking part, will need to fill an online contest form and answer few simple questions. The winner will have an opportunity to win a trip for two to Hong Kong. Additionally, film DVDs from UTV World Movies' home video collection will be given away as consolation prizes to 50 other lucky winners.

Says Business Head of UTV World Movies, Sameer Ganapathy, "We are delighted to tie up with Kingfisher Airlines to showcase the best of world cinema to people on board with Kingfisher.

"Through this association, we have expanded the availability of the best of world cinema from the channel, on ground, home video, theatres and now 30,000 feet above the ground as well. With our "Fly For Flicks Contest" lined up this October, we hope to garner maximum participation and wish people enjoy and appreciate UTV World Movies with Kingfisher Airlines"

Adds Kingfisher Airlines marketing manager Praveen Shetty, "Kingfisher Airlines has always been at the forefront of innovation, whether it was providing personalized in-flight entertainment to domestic flyers for the first time in India or launching of 16 channels of Live TV on board. This unique tie-up with UTV World Movies is our way of reiterating the Kingfisher brand promise of providing unique and enjoyable flying experience to our guests."

UTV World Movies has pioneered a completely new genre on the Indian television landscape and showcases contemporary, award-winning, critically acclaimed and entertaining box office successful films from around the globe.
