BSNL to extend Student Special plan to all existing customers, Prepaid mobile customers in other plans will be allowed to change their plan to Student Special plan soon.

BSNL has decided to extend its most popular promotional prepaid mobile plan - Students Special - to all existing customers soon.

Currently, BSNL offers Students Special plan exclusive for New and MNP port-in customers. Now, based on the overwhelming response from customers, the PSU has decided to extend the scheme to all existing prepaid mobile customers in all the circles.

BSNL authorities has clarified that, the existing prepaid mobile subscribers are allowed to migrate to the "Student Special" Plan, however migration is allowed without free data usage of 1 GB and free bundled Top up of Rs. 10 with full talk value. All the other terms and conditions will remain same. The implementation of the tariff will be made in accordance with 43rd Amendment of Telecom Tariff Order and orders/guidelines/clarifications issued by TRAI from time to time.

BSNL authorities has not announced the date from which migration facility will be available for its existing customers. The method of plan migration (whether through flexy recharge 118 / through SMS / Selfcare portal) is also not announced by BSNL.
