Reliance Jio vs Vodafone vs Airtel vs BSNL: Prepaid plans under Rs 200 with 1.5GB data per day compared

The telecom space in India has suddenly become more attractive than ever. Compared to other countries across the globe, India definitely has one of the cheapest data plans, thanks to the increasing cut-throat competition between telcos. A couple of years ago, 1GB data used to cost Rs 250, but today, you can get 1.5GB data per day for less than Rs 200. Here’s a look at plans from Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Airtel and BSNL that offer up to 1.5GB daily data under Rs 200.

Reliance Jio Rs 149 prepaid plan
Jio has a plan priced at Rs 149, which offers daily 1.5GB 4G data with a validity of 28 days. In total, you can download up to 42GB data. The plan also comes with unlimited voice calls, unlimited roaming and 100 free SMS daily. Users also get a complimentary subscription to Jio suite of apps, such as JioMovies, JioMusic and JioTV.

Vodafone Rs 199 prepaid plan
Vodafone has a plan priced at Rs 199 that offers unlimited roaming, unlimited local and STD calls and 100 free SMS daily. The plan also includes 1.4GB daily high-speed 3G / 4G data, and the plan comes with 28 days validity. Vodafone is also offering a complimentary subscription to Vodafone Play service where you can watch Live TV and movies on demand.

Airtel Rs 199 prepaid plan
Just like Vodafone, Airtel also has a Rs 199 prepaid plan with a validity of 28 days, unlimited roaming, and unlimited local and national calling. You also get 100 free SMS daily, and 1.4GB 3G / 4G data per day. Unlike Vodafone, Bharti Airtel isn’t bundling any freebies such as Wynk Music or Airtel TV subscription like it does on postpaid plans.

BSNL Rs 98 prepaid plan
If there is one telco that gives a really tough fight to the competition, it is the state-run BSNL. The telecom operator has a plan aggressively priced at Rs 98 which comes with a validity of 26 days, and offers 1.5GB daily data with 3G speeds. In total, users can download up to 39GB data with this plan. Sadly, unlike the competition, BSNL hasn’t included any voice calling benefits, and it is simply a data plan.
