Expanding its portfolio, Goqii on Thursday launched the Vital fitness band in India with a built-in blood pressure monitor and heart rate sensor. The Goqi Vital fitness band has been priced at Rs. 3,499, and will be made available exclusively on Amazon India and Goqii health store. The Goqii Vital will be premiering during the Amazon Prime Day on July 16. The fitness band has a colour OLED touchscreen, a blood pressure monitor, and a heart rate sensor. It also integrates a new Goqii Play feature that allows you to stream live videos from health experts on the Goqii app. The company is offering a three months coaching plan free with the purchase of Vital fitness band.

As mentioned, the new Goqii Vital band is designed to help monitor vital stats like blood pressure and heart rate. The new colour OLED touchscreen display also shows you your steps, calories burnt, distance, and sleep details as well. There's a Sports Mode that helps you while running, working out, and even cycling. It also sends you phone notifications, lets you set an alarm, and has a built-in Micro USB charger as well. The battery life of the Goqii Vital is pegged to be up to seven days depending on usage, and the band is also touted to be waterproof.

"The new GOQii Vital band is designed to help monitor key vital stats like Blood Pressure and Heart Rate. It can report both Systolic and Diastolic pressure with a good degree of accuracy. However, it is not a medical device and not a replacement to a Sphygmomanometer (an instrument for measuring blood pressure). Patients with hypertension should consult their doctor before us," the company notes in a statement.

As mentioned, the company also introduced a new feature called Goqii Play that gives users access to health-based live videos from experts, doctors, fitness trainers, emotional health counsellors and health influencers via the Goqii app. The company says that live videos will be done at various time slots through the day and users can interact with them via the videos and have their questions clarified in real time.

"With Goqii Vital we have become the first company of its kind, to integrate a blood pressure monitor & heart rate in an activity tracker with the ability to seamlessly share the data with doctors, health experts. Data along with the right advice will help encourage people to pursue holistic healthcare regime and focus on a preventive health mindset," said Vishal Gondal, Founder and CEO of Goqii in a statement.

Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Pro vacuum cleaner launched in India: Price and Features

Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Pro, a premium cordless vacuum cleaner, has been launched in India. The UK-based Dyson entered India with the launch of its V8 vacuum cleaner and Pure Cool Air Purifier early this year. Now, the company is expanding its product portfolio to offer the new Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum cleaner and the updated Pure Cool Link air purifier to Indian consumers.

For Dyson, the vacuum cleaner remains the biggest product in its portfolio and with the V10, the company is going all in on the idea of cordless vacuum cleaners. The new Dyson V10 is the most powerful vacuum cleaner the company has ever designed and houses a new digital motor that spins at 1,25,000 revolutions per minute. In comparison to older Dyson V8, the motor is 13 percent more powerful and also significantly more efficient. Dyson says its automated assembly unit in Singapore is capable of producing one motor every 2.6 seconds.

Dyson says it has been working on the development of new motor for nearly five years while the design of V10 commenced two years later. The Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Pro Vacuum Cleaner has an output power of 525 Watts and offers constant suction power. The bagless vacuum cleaner has fourteen cyclones arranged around the axis of the machine with ten on the exterior and four on the interior.

The array of fourteen cyclones allows for airflow at up to 190 kilometers per hour and is capable of separating dust particles up to a size of 1 micron from the air. The company says the new V10 has been designed based on user feedback. One of the biggest changes is that Dyson engineers rotates the cyclones and bin assembly through 90 degrees for an in-line configuration. The bin also uses more rigid polycarbonate material and has an ejection system based on point and shoot mechanism that disposes dust directly onto your dustbin, without having to touch it.

Another key change is in areas like charging time and overall run time of the machine. The new Dyson V10 comes with a denser battery pack that takes around three and a half hours for a full charge and lasts up to 60 minutes. This is markedly better than 40 minutes run time of Dyson V8 and charging time of 5 hours. Dyson engineers also combined the pre and post-motor filters around the motor that offers improved filtration and makes it easier to clean the filter.

The Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum cleaner comes with two motorized cleaner heads, one for carpets and another one for hard floors. The vacuum cleaner also comes with 7 additional tools for specific applications like cleaning mattress, crevices, upholstery among others. These tools and the powerful motors makes Dyson V10 equivalent to a full-size corded vacuum cleaner. The Dyson V10 Absolute Pro is priced at Rs 44,900 and will be available online across Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru through Dyson’s official website and Amazon India from July 27.
