YouTube has been silently updating new features into its video sharing service. Now, users can automatically send updates to their Twitter, Facebook and Google Reader on uploading a new video. Sharing photos to Facebook and Twitter contacts has been quite popular and now, it's time for videos.
YouTube's Video File Upload page will now show AutoShare options with list of services - Facebook, Twitter and Google Reader. So, anytime the user uploads a new video successfully, the update about the same is syndicated to the services selected in the AutoShare options.
Like links to photos are being shared on Facebook and Twitter, videos are going to be next phenomenon. Last month, YouTube boasted about 20 hours of video being uploaded every minute on the video sharing service.
Twitter already has a photo-sharing service called TwitPic.com and Facebook has a photo upload option for users. In the blossoming Facebook-Twitter communities, YouTube has just taken a baby step with this AutoShare support.
