RAM: Red FM claims No.2 slot in Mumbai - Sathish - 11-15-2010

In Bengaluru, on the other hand, Radio One gains 0.6 percentage point market share to become the No. 6 radio station in the city.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 44 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 17.2 per cent, with no loss no gain compared to the previous week’s ratings. The average market share for the radio station for the last four weeks is 17.4 per cent.

Red FM has climbed up to No. 2, with a market share of 13.8 per cent, 0.3 percentage point more than the last week. Radio City has slipped a spot to No. 3. Its market share is 13.7 per cent, with a minor dip of 0.1 percentage point.

AIR FM Gold is at No. 4 with a market share of 12 per cent. The radio station has registered a gain of 0.5 percentage point vis-à-vis Week 43.

This week, Big FM is at No. 5 with a market share of 11.8 per cent. Fever FM follows with a market share of 11.4 per cent.

Radio One and Air FM Rainbow are at No. 7 and 8, with market shares of 5.3 per cent and 5.2 per cent, respectively. Both the stations did not register any loss or gain compared to the previous week’s ratings.

Among the other stations in Mumbai, Vividh Bharati has a market share of 4.8 per cent, followed by Oye! FM, which has 2.6 per cent.
