MUMBAI: Infotainment channel Animal Planet is all set to launch a new edition of ‘Yeh Mera India’ from 14 August at 9 pm

In its sixth year, Animal Planet’s annual programming initiative ‘Yeh Mera India’ takes viewers on an immersive journey across India from Kaziranga to Manas and Jawai to Ranthambore. Exploring the iconic wildlife, mystical locations, epic landscapes and colourful beauty, the new season of ‘Yeh Mera India’ focuses on the biodiversity of different regions and extraordinary wildlife that thrives in it.

Animal Planet also plans to reach out to the youth and family towards the Indian wildlife through an anthem and music video, the anthem is composed by noted Bollywood music director Ram Sampath.

The anthem “Befikar hai nazaare…” is sung by Sampath along with Sona Mohapatra, rappers Divine and EnKore. The multi-lingual track is a soulful melody featuring behind the scenes footage from the making of the anthem.

The song is composed with an aim to inspire viewers to come along, connect with the wild kingdom and go on journey through India. The anthem aims to capture the essence of India’s bio-diversity through its music and lyrics; and remind viewers of nature’s beauty and amazing wildlife. The month-long series seeks the current generation to be the change agents for a better tomorrow.

Sampath said, “The new ‘Yeh Mera India’ anthem is a celebration of India’s rich natural heritage and wildlife. As Indians, we should take pride in it and it is our duty to help preserve the natural world for our future. I hope this anthem serves as a call to everyone to go out and explore more of this magical country we call home.”

The show will also feature premieres of three new series – ‘Rhino Tales’, ‘Living With Elephants’ and ‘Four Deadliest Snakes of India’.
