&TV returns as presenting sponsor of ‘Borivali Cha Raja’ - nairrk - 09-22-2018

MUMBAI: As part of its consumer connect initiative in Mumbai, ZEEL’s second Hindi GEC &TV has associated with ‘Borivali Cha Raja’ (Shiv Mitra Mandal) as a presenting sponsor for the second time in a row.

As part of the association, actors from &TV’s shows have visited the ‘Borivali Cha Raja’ pandal. Bollywood actor Jaya Pradha, who is part of &TV’s ‘Perfect Pati’, has been one of the high-profile visitors.

Over the years, ‘Borivali Cha Raja’ has attracted celebrities ranging from politicians, cricketers to film & TV actors. Among the personalities who have paid their respects to ‘Borivali Cha Raja’ include cricket Rohit Sharma, and politicians Aditya Thackrey, Aadesh Bandekar, Ramdas Kadam, Gopal Shetty, and Vinod Tawde.

Started in 1969, ‘Borivali Cha Raja’ is one of the oldest Ganesh mandals in the Mumbai. The mandal is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It is known for its grand replica of popular temples which are created by young artistes every year. It was the first pandal in Mumbai suburb to host a 25 feet long idol of Lord Ganesha.

Commenting on the 50th year anniversary, Borivali Cha Raja – Shiv Mitra Mandal secretary Manohar Desai said, “This year, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of our pandal which comprises of 60 buildings of our locality. We are glad that &TV has returned as our presenting sponsor. This year, we have built the pandal in such a way that the vehicular traffic doesn’t get obstructed. The pandal is built on a bridge like structure while the vehicles can pass beneath it.”
