AETN18 to launch FYI TV18 HD on 18 Oct - nairrk - 10-17-2018

MUMBAI: AETN18, the 51:49 joint venture (JV) between TV18 and A+E Networks, is all set to launch the high definition (HD) feed of its lifestyle channel FYI TV18 on 18 October.

The new channel will draw on FYI TV18, which blends lifestyle programming. FYI TV18 HD will offer a blend of local Indian shows and International programming. The new channel will feature content, touching different aspects of food, home, glamour, though relationships would be at its core.

FYI TV18 HD is the fourth channel to be launched from AETN18 apart from FYI TV18 SD, History TV18 SD and History TV18 HD channels.

Network 18 COO, AETN18 MD Avinash Kaul said, “Through FYI TV18, we’ve always provided our viewers with the very best in lifestyle entertainment. Now in High Definition, FYI TV18 HD is guaranteed to enthrall the young and dynamic audience across India.”

As reported earlier, AETN18 has narrowed its net loss by 67% to Rs 8.59 crore in FY18 compared to Rs 25.86 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company’s revenue from operations jumped 25% to Rs 82.49 crore compared to Rs 66.12 crore in the year ago period. Expenses stood at Rs 93 crore as against Rs 94.3 crore.

Ad and subscription revenue jumped to Rs 80.12 crore from Rs 65.6 crore. Revenue from sale of content was Rs 1.62 crore compared to Rs 15.9 lakh. Mobile and digital revenue was Rs 74.7 lakh as against Rs 34.9 lakh.

In terms of other expenses, content and other production expenses fell to Rs 2.34 crore compared to Rs 4.22 crore in the previous fiscal. Royalty expenses were down at Rs 3.6 crore compared to Rs 5.2 crore. Telecast and uplinking fees was Rs 6.21 crore compared to Rs 5.26 crore.
