[Image: Star-Movies-cover01-160x90.jpg]MUMBAI: English movie channel Star Movies will air blockbusters, franchises and superhero movies for the festive season. Starting today, Star Movies will showcase the Hollywood phenomenon that’s become a billion-dollar movie business – the story of successful franchises.

Typically, these franchises are built over the years and sometimes keeping track of the story becomes difficult – so Star Movies kick starts this month with a binge of franchises back-to-back. Star Movies Pop-Up Theatre brings to its audience yet another popular offering, ‘Prequels and Sequels’.

Franchises will be a part of this Pop-Up Theatre. From explosive action of franchises like the ‘Planet of the Apes’ and ‘The Expendables’ to superhero sagas like the ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ series to the Jackie Chan franchise of ‘Police Story’. This Pop-Up theatre runs from 9-13 September from 4 pm.

Meanwhile, Superhero Sundays will have films like ‘Deadpool 2’, ‘Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War’, ‘Marvel’s Black Panther’ and ‘Incredibles 2’ at 1 pm and 9 pm each Sunday. Star Movies ends the month by airing ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ on 29 September at 1 pm, 9 pm exclusively on Star Movies.

>Prequels and Sequels Pop Up Theatre – 9 to 13 Sept, 4 pm onwards
>Superhero Sundays – Every Sunday 1 pm and 9 pm
